Taiwan’s drone industry alliance, Tediboa, has grown from 50 to over 200 members since its launch in September 2024. Chaired by Hu Kai-Hung, the alliance includes major players like Geosat Aerospace and Thunder Tiger. Tediboa is developing a “non-red supply chain” to meet U.S. security standards by excluding Chinese components. Taiwan is boosting collaboration with Eastern European partners—Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania—to challenge China’s dominance in the drone market. Despite progress, rare earth supply remains a concern for long-term independence.
