Ukraine has increased production of its 155mm Bohdana 2S22 self-propelled artillery systems from six to over 20 units per month in 2025, according to the Defence Procurement Agency. This surge, supported by European investment, aims to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities as donor equipment supplies dwindle. Sources indicate deliveries could reach up to 36 units monthly, with 85% of components domestically produced and a goal of 95% by year’s end. The Bohdana system, designed on a KrAZ 6×6 chassis, offers a 40–50 km range and fills critical gaps amid high battlefield attrition. Initial funding, notably from Denmark, helped launch Ukrainian production efforts, reducing reliance on foreign artillery supplies.
