US Approves $2.19B Tomahawk Missile Sale to the Netherlands

The US State Department has approved the sale of up to 175 Tomahawk missiles to the Netherlands, valued at approximately $2.19 billion. The package includes Block V and Block IV missiles, tactical control systems, and support services to bolster the Dutch military’s long-range strike capabilities. RTX Corporation will serve as the principal contractor, with specific offset obligations included in the deal. The Tomahawk missiles, capable of mid-flight reprogramming and deep inland strikes, will significantly enhance Dutch naval combat power. This sale follows a successful Tomahawk test launch from a Royal Netherlands Navy frigate earlier this year, supporting broader defense procurement initiatives.
